In 2015 my husband and I bought this outdated Mid-Century Modern gem located in Barrington, Illinois.
Purchasing our second home was not an easy process. We shared a good number of fights: I want this, I want that, this is too expensive, this one doesn’t have good schools. Blah blah blah. As per usual I was super picky and determined to find a perfect home for us. The only thing my husband asked for was: for the house to be within our budget, to have a garage and a basement. Well this house has neither and was on the top of our budget. This gives you a glimpse to how living with me looks like ha.
What the house was though – it was different from anything that we have seen. Flat roof, brick grey exterior, large windows and a modern character plus the orange door!
Once we pulled it in the driveway we knew this was it. It had a great structure, but lots to wish for on the inside. Regardless of outdated interiors – I was able to see it. I knew it is our place to live.
It’s a 3000 Sq.Ft home with 3 bedroom, 2 baths, an office, family room and a screened in porch.
